Improvement of the road segment Tushemisht – Border Crossing Saint Naum

The “Tushemisht-Customs” road segment begins at the exit of the Tushemishti village, in its eastern part, and continues to the Tshemishti Customs, with a length of about 1km. The road is asphalted, with a width of 6m, and passes through hilly terrain, aligned next to the shore of Ohrid Lake. This road segment serves the residents of the Tushemisht village, but also more as Albania border connecting with North Macedonia. This road has prominent features of a tourist road due to the presence of Ohrid Lake and touristic areas near it, such as Tushemishti, Driloni, Shen Naumi, etc. The Project is implemented by the Albanian Development Fund as part of the “Operational Program”, a program launched by the Albanian Government. The main objectives of this project have been improving access to the tourist potential of the region, in order to improve the tourist experience, the quality of life for the communities, as well as opportunities for the sustainable economic development of the area. The project will aim to improve the quality and traffic safety. For this road segment, is requested the preparation of the preliminary and detailed design.
